Questions

When is the best time to take maternity photos?
I would say it’s usually towards the end of the second trimester or beginning of the third trimester. BUT, the real answer varies differently a tad bit for each expecting little momma. Mothers expecting their second child tend to show a bit sooner than they did with their first. You want to be big enough to look fabulous showing off your big prego belly, but not too big to where you’re miserable doing so the entire session.

When should my little bundle’s first photo shoot be?
I prefer to photograph newborns when they are between 5 and 10 days old, though two weeks is generally recommended. Timing is very important for this session, especially if you hope to capture all those super tiny details in the super cute bendy sleepy poses. Your precious little bundle will only be that tiny once!

What exactly is a mobile newborn studio?
I pack up everything necessary for a successful newborn shoot and bring it to you! A posing bean bag, backgrounds, lighting, props and lots more. Just take a look at the photo below. It’s less stress on you and your new little bundle and we can potentially incorporate the nursery or parts of your home in the shoot for more lifestyle type photos.

Do you post photos from all your sessions online?
Absolutely not. Especially from my boudoir sessions, as I get approval on anything and everything that is posted. But regardless of the type of session, if you prefer that your photos not be publicized, I am perfectly okay with that. Your privacy is very important to me. Just let me know and we’ll make a note stating so on your photography contract.
