Travel Tuesday…
Since this is my first Tuesday to not actually live in Austin, I just had to post a photo from Austin! This photo was taken on a wakeboard boat ON Lady Bird Lake during an engagement session a couple months ago. My clients came to me with a vision, and we worked together to bring it to life. I LOVE having clients that are truly passionate about their photography!!
No longer living in Austin is bittersweet. I moved there (for the second time) in January of 2010. It was during a really tough time in my life, and I was VERY fortunate to have an incredible support system. I’m convinced I have the best family and friends on the planet. ;-) While hanging/walking hills in Lakeway with a girlfriend shortly after moving back, I told her that I had 3 goals… Find a job, Become financially stable, and Find a boyfriend…lol. Each day I focused on making positive changes in my life, and I stayed loyal to the vision I had for myself. Thank goodness I managed to met all of those goals in time; now over three years later, I’m ecstatic to have done so much more! As I leave Austin to start my next adventure in life in Anchorage, I still have an incredible support system, I’m a striving small business owner (WOOHOO Savvy Images!!), and I’m soon to marry the love of my life!! I’m feeling extremely blessed, and I want to encourage each of you to continue striving to live the life you envision for yourself. Don’t get side tracked, don’t lose hope, don’t settle AND definitely surround yourself with positive people… Times may get tough, but be tougher and keep on keepin’ on!!

This precious little lady’s beautiful newborn session was debuted last october. A tiny ballerina back then, and a mini ballerina now… she is growing up entirely too fast! (you can check out those photos here) During her newborn session I told her momma that she was going to be a sassy determined little one, and she definitely proved that to be the case during her sixth month photo session. I could hardly handle all her cuteness, and am SO glad that he mom will have these precious photos to look back on in twenty years. Just precious! I am already so eager for her one year session!!
An Exciting New Adventure…
Savvy Images is very excited to announce that it is relocating to Anchorage, Alaska!! My fiancé will be taking a position with his company there for a couple years, and we decided that it was the perfect opportunity for an exciting new adventure! Though Austin will always be home for Savvy Images, we will be moving on July 20th. I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing all my fun Texas folks, and will definitely be back in Austin and Houston periodically to visit family/friends, AND to continue taking beautiful photos for all my awesome clients. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested in setting up a session!! I may need a good reason to come back to Texas and thaw out! ;-) Also, if any of you know anyone in Alaska, please pass my information along to them. I am very eager to start making lots of awesome new clients up north!
In honor of our big move and all the coming changes, I am going to start a Travel Tuesday blog post. Each week I will post a photo of exciting places we’ve been, or places that we hope to visit in the future. I am a firm believer that travel broadens one’s mind, and I hope my weekly post inspires each of you to venture out of your comfort zone every once in a while! Near or far… SAFE TRAVELS!!

This beautiful family was SO much fun to photograph. I like to have a little fun during my sessions and take silly photos every once in a while… theirs is just too cute! We even got some lovey-dovey photos of mom and day, AND incorporated dad’s bronco! Their maternity session was in March, and now they have an adorable baby brother to show off. You may remember this precious baby girl from her newborn photo session back in October… She was my sweet smiley frog! You can check out those photos here if you missed them. She was a bit shy at first… BUT by the end of our session she was little miss chatty! Mckenzie had SO much to tell us about…lol. Mom and dad have such a cute and sassy little ballerina on their hands! I can’t wait to see how her little personality is going to evolve by her one year session!!
